What NetWatchly does
A focused set of monitoring tools — nothing more, nothing less.
HTTP and HTTPS monitoring
Add any publicly reachable HTTP or HTTPS URL. NetWatchly checks it on your chosen schedule and records the status code, response time, and any errors.
Configurable check frequency
Choose how often your monitors run: every 1 minute, 5 minutes, 15 minutes, 30 minutes, or 1 hour. The free plan supports checks as frequent as every 60 seconds.
Response time visibility
See a rolling 24-hour chart of response times for each monitor. Spot performance degradation early, before it becomes a full outage.
Incident tracking
Every outage is recorded as an incident — with a start time, end time, total duration, and error message. The full incident list is available in the monitor detail view.
Alerts
Get notified when a monitor goes down and when it recovers. Alerts support email, webhooks (any HTTP endpoint with automatic retry), and Slack via an incoming webhook URL.
Daily digest
Opt in to a daily summary email sent at 08:00 UTC. The digest covers the last 24 hours of monitor activity without requiring you to check the dashboard.
Keyword validation
Optionally configure a keyword that must appear in the response body. If the keyword is missing, the check is marked as down — useful for detecting misconfigured responses that still return 200.
SSL certificate visibility
For HTTPS monitors, the dashboard shows the number of days until the certificate expires. Colour coding makes it easy to spot certificates that need attention.
Custom HTTP methods
Most monitors use GET by default. For endpoints that require it, you can configure HEAD or OPTIONS instead.
Perfect for people like me
NetWatchly is built for solo developers, side projects, hobby sites, and experimental APIs. You don't need enterprise features for that — you just need to know when something breaks. NetWatchly does exactly that.
I built this solo. No corporate overhead. It's free as long as this experiment goes.
