About NetWatchly
This is an experiment in what one person can actually build with AI assistance. I used Claude Sonnet for most of the heavy lifting — code generation, testing, code reviews — while I focused on what only I could do: product direction, big architecture decisions, infrastructure, and making sure it actually works.
The stack: Go/Gin on the backend, React/TypeScript up front, PostgreSQL for data, Cloudflare for security. Runs on Railway, with automated security scanning on every push.
Why it exists
Existing uptime monitors are overkill for side projects and hobby sites. You don't need dashboards for 50 engineers and compliance audits for a personal API - you just need to know when something breaks. I built what I actually needed. Then I wondered: how fast can one person ship a full-stack SaaS with structured AI workflows? Fast enough that it's worth staying free while I figure out what people actually want from this.
What happens next
It's free as long as this experiment goes. That means features will change, feedback will shape what gets built, and I'm not promising anything long-term. That's the tradeoff for getting something useful without the corporate overhead.
